Animal Hospital Items & Supplies Shop Guide

Items You Can Carry

The community wiki documents these usable items — things you keep in inventory and hold as your active item:

ItemWhat it does
CoffeeThe bread-and-butter sanity heal: +5 per sip, 3 sips, +15 total. Free from the Reception Office coffee machine, or $55 in the shop from shift 3. Also snuffs death-ritual candles without sanity loss
Chocolate Bar+20 per bite, +60 total — the biggest heal. From the shop, Liz’s quest, or 29 Robux at reception
Mint Tea+15-30 sanity restored over time, from the Supplies Shop
Run Fast ColaA speed boost in a can
Large Run ColaThe Paramedic’s starter version, 6 uses (9 at level 2-3)
TaserStops anomalies; a successful tase even pays +2 sanity
GunThe Secret Agent’s tool — kills anomalies outright
ScannerDetection support gear from the Secret Agent kit
Deployable CameraPortable camera coverage; Security unlocks one at level 2
Fire ExtinguisherPuts out room fires and burning patients fast
Special Fire ExtinguisherThe Firefighter’s version — recharges in your inventory on its own
Teddy BearA comfort item documented on the wiki

Some items carry a cooldown timer that can be skipped for a Robux fee.

The One Rule That Kills Patients

The game does not check whether the item in your hand is the right treatment. Interacting with a patient while holding the wrong item can kill them. With the “Treat From Inventory” upgrade this gets worse: touching a patient with no prescribed items in your inventory kills them instantly, even bare-handed. Empty your hands before you lean in, and read the treatments guide for what each condition actually needs.

How the Supplies Shop Works

The Supplies Shop sits at the back of the hospital and opens at the start of shift 3, run by the Shopkeeper Nurse:

  • Three random items are stocked; no two slots repeat the same item.
  • You get a 3-minute buying window at the start of each shift — a jingle marks it, and the window shuts after.
  • Each item sells once per shift: if a teammate buys it, it is gone for everyone until next shift.
  • Team size raises prices, and better items cost more.
  • Don’t like the stock? A reroll can be purchased.

Two shop upgrades gate behind prerequisites: +12% NPC Speed requires +10% NPC Speed first, and Faster Check-In requires Visitors Check In Faster first.

Spending Priorities

  1. Early shifts: coffee is free from the machine — save shop money.
  2. Mid-run: NPC speed upgrades compound every shift afterward; buy them ahead of one-shot consumables.
  3. Emergencies: keep a fire extinguisher available once ambulance waves start — the events guide explains why patients on fire are on a timer.
  4. Class synergy: Nurse and Head Nurse inventory slots exist to carry more of all of this; the classes hub compares them.
