Nurse Class in Animal Hospital: Cost, Perks & Verdict

Twenty Animal Coins. That is the entire price of the Nurse, the cheapest purchasable class in Animal Hospital, and roughly ten treated patients’ worth of earnings. What you get for that pocket change is inventory space, and inventory space is quietly one of the strongest stats in the game.

The Perk, Level by Level

The Nurse does one thing: it raises your maximum inventory capacity. The default is three slots. The Nurse starts you with four, and each class level adds one more.

LevelPerkTotal inventory slots
1+1 max inventory capacity4
2+2 max inventory capacity5
3+3 max inventory capacity6

Starting Sanity stays at the default 60-65% and starter cash stays at $0, so this class is pure utility.

Price and Where to Buy It

You will find the Nurse in the class shop for 20 Animal Coins. The shop lives in the lobby: tap the Classes button on the left side of the screen, or walk into the big yellow circle next to the ambulance, to the left of spawn. Since treating a patient pays 2 coins and rejecting an anomaly pays 0.5, most players can afford the Nurse after their very first successful shift or two. Leveling to 2 costs 200 EXP and level 3 takes another 850, earned through check-ins and treatments.

How to Play the Nurse

  • Batch your treatment runs. With six slots at level 3 you can carry a full multi-item prescription in one trip instead of jogging back and forth to the supply racks, which also means less exposure to whatever is roaming the halls.
  • Keep one slot for defense and one for recovery. A level 3 Nurse can hold a healing item, a Taser or Gun, a utility item, and still have three slots free for treatment items. That loadout covers almost any emergency.
  • Carry a coffee for the team. Coffee restores 15 Sanity over three sips, and being the player with spare capacity means you can ferry recovery items to teammates who are running dry.
  • Remember the perk does nothing by itself. Unlike Sanity-generating classes, the Nurse only pays off if you actually use the extra slots, so plan trips deliberately.

Worth Buying?

On our tier list the Nurse lands in B tier, and it earns that spot as a value pick rather than a power pick. As a first upgrade from the free Intern, it is arguably the best 20 coins you can spend: the Intern’s bonus starting Sanity fades in relevance as you learn the game, while extra inventory keeps saving you time on every shift forever.

The catch is that the Nurse is strictly outclassed later. The Robux-only Head Nurse starts at level 1 with the Nurse’s entire level 3 perk (+3 capacity) and then stacks bonus Sanity and a unique treatment ability on top. And among coin classes, the 120-coin Secretary offers Sanity generation that most players will eventually prefer.

Verdict: buy it early, enjoy it, and do not feel bad replacing it. For 20 coins the Nurse is nearly free flexibility, a perfect bridge between the starter class and the mid-cost options covered in our classes overview.
