Paramedic Class in Animal Hospital: Speed Cola Perks

Some classes in Animal Hospital heal you, some arm you, and one just makes you fast. The Paramedic, the deer in the neon green vest, is the mobility specialist: 250 Animal Coins for a renewable stash of speed.

What You Get at Each Level

Equipping the Paramedic hands you a Large Run Fast Cola at the start of every game. Regular Run Fast Cola grants a temporary movement speed boost (up to 30 seconds per use) without affecting interaction speeds; the Paramedic’s large version simply carries multiple uses.

LevelPerk
1Start with Large Run Fast Cola (6 uses)
2Start with Large Run Fast Cola (9 uses)
3Large Run Fast Cola (9 uses), regenerates 1 use each round

Starting Sanity is the standard 60-65% and starter cash is $0, so the entire class budget goes into those cola charges.

Where and How to Buy

The Paramedic sells for 250 Animal Coins in the lobby class shop, accessible from the Classes button on the left of the screen or by stepping into the yellow circle next to the ambulance, left of spawn. Earning 2 coins per treated patient and 0.5 per rejected anomaly, most players reach 250 coins within their first sessions. Upgrades follow the universal curve: 200 EXP to level 2, 850 more to level 3.

Making Speed Count

  • Save charges for ambulance events. Every five shifts an ambulance dumps six patients into the hospital at once, some on fire, some in critical condition with death timers. Sprinting between rooms with cola active is exactly what this class was built for.
  • Use bursts for supply runs. A quick drink turns the trip to the Supplies Shop or the treatment racks into a fraction of the time, which means less time away from your patients.
  • Speed is also defense. Many threats punish you for being in the wrong place; moving faster lets you break line of sight or clear a hallway before trouble arrives. It will not save you Sanity directly, though, so know your enemy damage numbers.
  • Manage your health the old-fashioned way. The Paramedic has zero self-sustain, so budget coffee (15 Sanity), mint tea (15-30), and chocolate (60) deliberately. Our sanity guide covers the full economy.
  • A small trivia point from the community wiki: drinking a regular Run Fast Cola while a Large Run Cola is active stacks the speed slightly, since the boosts add together.

Should You Buy It?

The Paramedic sits in B tier on the tier list, and that feels right. Mobility is real value, especially at level 3 where the regenerating charge means you effectively never run out, and no other coin class touches its ambulance-event performance. But speed does not treat patients, reject anomalies, or restore Sanity, and in a game where your health bar is constantly leaking, classes that generate resources tend to win out. The 120-coin Secretary sustains you for half the price, and the Surgeon eventually offers speed boosts and healing in one package.

Buy the Paramedic if you enjoy playing the runner role in a coordinated group or you keep dying to timed emergencies. Skip it if you are picking one mid-cost class to main, since the class roster has stronger all-rounders at nearby prices.
