Who Rattina Is

Rattina is a black rat and the twin sister of Ratthew, added to the game’s lore on June 26, 2026. She looks nearly identical to her brother, distinguished only by visible eyelashes, a pink bow on her ear, and eye highlights. According to Ratthew she was “the smart one in the family,” and she worked for the Animal Corporation before disappearing without a trace. That is essentially everything the wiki records about her directly - she is a minor character whose entire presence is a mystery the game wants you to chase.

Where You Find Her

Rattina never physically appears as an NPC. She exists in two places:

• The Vault photo. Ratthew must visit your hospital five times; on the fifth visit he chats with you in the Reception Office, then leaves a key and a note on the desk. • Liz’s bulletin board. During Liz’s house visit, a photo of Rattina and Ratthew together hangs on the investigation corkboard, surrounded by sticky notes questioning whether Rattina saw something she was not supposed to see, and noting that she disappeared shortly after joining the Animal Corporation.

Is the Stalker Rattina?

This is the question players ask most, and the honest answer is: the community wiki does not confirm it. Here is what the sources actually establish. Rattina’s anomaly status is listed as “Unknown.” The Vault note pairs “the experiment was a success” with a “Shadow” that “now sees everything” - and it sits directly next to Rattina’s photo. And there is one striking scripted interaction: if you carry Rattina’s photo to the Stalker while it lurks at the Reception Office, the photo burns, with the text “the photo burns in your hands.”

That interaction is why the theory exists - a shadowy entity destroying the only evidence of a missing Corporation employee is hard to read as coincidence. But no dialogue or wiki page states outright that the Stalker is Rattina, so treat it as the game’s strongest unresolved implication rather than fact.

Why She Matters to the Story

Rattina is the emotional engine behind Ratthew’s whole arc. His distrust of suitcase-carriers, his vent-crawling espionage against the Animal Corporation, and his eventual flight into hiding all trace back to a brother searching for his vanished sister. Her disappearance also fits the game’s wider pattern: the Corporation experiments on hospital patients, buries the evidence, and makes inconvenient people go away - the same machinery that got Liz fired for reporting the truth and that keeps replacing hospital managers who ask questions.
